The World Boxing Council female Silver super bantamweight champion, Australian Shannon O’Connell, defended her crown by defeating tough Japanese fighter Kimika Miyoshi by UD.
Initially it was a battle of give and take, but little by little, O’Connell took control of the action to gain an important victory at the Melbourne Park in Victoria, Australia.
After the final bell, and looking ahead, the champion commented: “I want the fight against the absolute world champion, Alicia Ashley. I am in the sport because I want to face the best fighters and without any doubt, Ashley is a great champion.”
