Carl Froch knows a thing or two about big fights — you might’ve heard that he once drew 80,000 to Wembley Stadium — believes that something Anthony Joshua has going for him is a love of the whole atmosphere of a big fight, and that’s a reason he’s been so successful.
From Sky Sports:
“I just think he’s so happy to be performing at the top level and embracing the fans. He just loves it and you can see that. He’s talking about fighting for the next 10 years. With me, even when I was a world champion, I didn’t want to do another 10 years! Weigh-ins can get messy, fight nights are hard work and horrible and you get injured. It’s just a tough, tough business but Joshua relishes the whole occasion and just enjoys himself which is why he does it so well.”
Joshua (20-0, 20 KO) faces Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KO) on Saturday in Cardiff, in front of a huge crowd at Principality Stadium, with three heavyweight titles on the line.
