Carl Froch and Amir Khan have started what has turned out to be a surprise beef between a retired fighter who was too big to fight the other anyway.

Carl Froch is a pundit these days on the UK boxing scene and was critical of Khan following his recent points win over Samuel Vargas that he got dropped in

Only to get back up and get the win in to his credit.

Froch at the time mentioned to the effect that Khan would not be competitive against any of the top welterweights in the world based on that performance and that Khan was essentially just coming back for a pay-day.

Khan retaliated in the media saying that he had much more money than Carl Froch.

Now, the former world super-middleweight champion has responded to that:

Michael Benson@MichaelBensonn

😳 Carl Froch on Amir Khan “He’s got an overinflated opinion of himself, he loves himself, he talks about money all the time. He needs to take a reality check and realise there’s a guy from Sheffield who can serve you your arse, knock you spark out.” [@BehindTheGloves]

The fight with Kell Brook appears to be the front-runner next for Khan as other candidate Manny Pacquiao does not look like he will have an opponent set for sometime amid all this Mayweather rematch debate.
