The return of “The Natural Born Killer” is set.
Former WEC welterweight champion and UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Conditwill meet Neil Magny on Dec. 30 at UFC 219. The FS1 show UFC Tonight reported the bout on Wednesday.
Condit (33-10) has been out of action for more than a year. He was submitted in the first round of a bout against Demian Maia on Aug. 27, 2016, which was the Albuquerque native’s second straight loss. Prior to that, Condit lost a narrow split decision to then-champion Robbie Lawlerat UFC 195 in the 2016 Fight of the Year.
Magny (19-6), meanwhile, is trying to get his momentum back in the right direction. The Colorado-based fighter won 10 of 11 fights in one stretch from 2014-16, but he’s dropped two of three since, including a first-round submission loss to Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 215.
The Dec. 30 card in Las Vegas does not yet have a main event, with the biggest previously announced fight a bantamweight matchup between Dominick Cruz and Jimmie Rivera.
