Super welterweight Carson Jones has been a regular and welcome visitor to the British boxing scene in recent years, often churning out strong convincing performances.
On Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London, Jones with the anvil like hammering power of a smith (40-11-3, 30 KOs) did it again, scoring a sixth round TKO over previously unbeaten Ben Hall (9-1-1, 2 KOs). Jones, who hails from Oklahoma City, lobbied Hall with all he could handle and got the win when Hall’s corner pulled their man out due to a shoulder injury. With the win, Jones claimed the vacant WBC International Silver super welterweight title.
