The Argentinean native Brian Castano and the Cuban native Erislandy Lara offered this afternoon, in New York, the last press conference prior to their expected fight this Saturday at the Barclays Center for the regular Super Welterweight Championship of the World Boxing Association.

Castano will expose the championship before one of the best superwelters of the present day, which he said in his own words, is Erislandy Lara. Fans should also check out the undercard, which will feature another great Cuban fighter with the former interim heavyweight champion of the WBA, Luis Ortiz, who is facing Christian Hammer.

“One comes to enjoy that this is my job, I live and breathe boxing every day. This Saturday I will enjoy it like I do every time I get into the ring. My respect to the Cubans, they are good people, but he knows that I will not respect him on Saturday. I’m going to put on a show. I’m not on the side of the favorites, but I’m the champion, and we’re going to work so that they realize Brian Castano has arrived. Lara is among the best super welterweights,” commented Castano.

“See you this March 2nd, we are ready and it’s time not to talk so much and wait for the fight to come. Jarrett Hurd was different, that’s already happened, I’m focused on Castano and it’s going to be a great fight. Do you want to see what’s left of Erislandy Lara? Come Saturday” said Cuban Lara, former WBA Superwelter champion.
