Carlos Castro conquered the vacant WBC Continental Americas featherweight title by technically knocking out Colombian Oscar Escandón in the tenth round, in an interesting duel on the undercard “Pacquiao vs. Ugás ”, which took place this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Escandón and Castro dished up and dished out war from the first round with an alternate dominance of combat.
The end came in round 10 when Castro hurt Escandón sending him to the canvas. Oscar beat the count but then got down on his knees, obliging the Referee to stop the fight.
With this victory, Castro raised his record to 27-0, 12 knockouts, while Escandón is now 26-6, 18 knockouts.
