By Carlos Costa

BANGKOK, Thailand  —   World-ranked WBC Asian Super Bantamweight Champion Thattana “Chainoi” Luangphon (17-0-1, 13 KO’s) of Thailand, and brave Filipino challenger 🇵🇭 Kevin “The Bull” Aseniero (10-3-1, 5 KO’s) of Cagayan de Oro succssfully made weight ahead of their title rumble unfolding Saturday afternoon, August 27, at the plush Bazaar Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Thattana “Chainoi” Luangphon stepped on the scale at 55.2 kilos (121.70 pounds), while the strong Pinoy weighed-in at 55.1 Kgs (121.50 pounds), both strong men looking perfectly fit, in fantastic shape for the hot title battle.

The 10-rounder action clash for the coveted WBC Asia strap is a televised NKL Promotion card expected to thrill boxing fans in The Land of Smiles as the Filipino Aseniero aims to follow up on the exciting recent successes in Thailand of his dazzling Pinoy Kababayans Adrian Sales Lerasan, John Michael Zulueta and Herlan Sixto Gomez.

However, Aseniero’s mission is a tough one as he battles the heavy-handed “Chainoi,” a slugger with lethal dynamite in his blows, currently in the world rankings as WBC # 3 in the super bantamweight division.

Kevin Aseniero is being assisted by coach Marvin M. Alegria and the supporting team of Highland Boxing.

Aseniero, 28, feels in top shape after a long and fruitful training camp at the MP-Highland Gym in Sampaloc, Metro Manila.

According to award-winning Filipino promoter Brico Santig, head of the Highland Boxing Team, the well-trained Kevin Aseniero has been preparing for nearly 3 months.

But “Chainoi” is in top shape as well, making Saturday’s title clash a exciting war wtih Asian belt and world-ranking at stake.

Will Kevin “The Bull” Aseniero shock and rock the Thai “Chainoi,” dealing him his first pro boxing defeat, grabbing from him his work-ranking and WBC Asian strap?

Or will the world-ranked 25-year-old Thai Tiger “Chainoi” (ชายน้อย วรวุฒิ), be able to control the Pinoy warrior born in the beautiful Mindanao City of Golden Friendship?
