World Boxing Council superwelter Silver champion Sergio Garcia (24-0-0.12 KO’S) will fight WBC  international champion Felice Moncelli (17-4-1, 5 KO’S), from Italy on September 22, in Torrelavega, Spain.

Previously, September 16 was schedulled to host the fight; however due to logistical reasons the date was changed.

This much anticipated  fight for the European fans, will take place in the town of Garcia, Torrelavega, a place of rich boxing history since Cecilio “Uco” Lastra managed to become world champion in the 70´s.

Garcia won the silver title of the WBC by defeating his compatriot Isaac Real, by unanimous decision, in an historical card  in Barcelona.

For his part, the Italian Moncelli, comes from winning the International WBC title by defeating Adriano Nicchi, in  May at the Via Vertumno Stadium, Rome, Lazio, Italy.

Sergio has commented that he hopes to defend the title successfully in order to attend the WBC convention, to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan in october as a proud WBC Silver Champion.

The World Boxing Council reinforces its absolute leadership in Spain with this championship clash (Silver and International), in addition to other cards that will be held on September 29 and October 7, with WBC affiliated titles on the line.
