Jermell and Jermall Charlo return to the ring on December 22nd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, topping a PBC show that will be aired on the FOX network.
Jermall, the middleweight interim champion of the World Boxing Council, defends his belt against Willie Monroe Jr. While Jermell, who holds the WBC super welterweight title, fights Tony Harrison.
Jermall (27-0, 21 KO) is close to contesting the absolute crown against the current absolute champion, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, who will fight next December 15 against Rocky Fielding.
Jermall fought on April 21, knocking out Hugo Centeno Jr. in the second round. Monroe (23-3, 6 KO) is a two time title contender, with losses to Gennady Golovkin and Billy Joe Saunders. He is learned from that and significantly improved.
Jermell (31-0, 15 KO) has shown that he is a worthy champion. In his most recent fight he defeated the wily Austin Trout, making the third defense of the green and gold WBC title.
Tony Harrison (27-2, 21 KO), Jermell’s next rival, is a talented fighter, who`s a very good prospect. He had defeats against Willie Nelson and Jarrett Hurd.
