Charlo trains to face Castaño

On July 17 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, American Jermell Charlo (34-1-0, 18 ko’s), WBC, WBA, and IBF super welterweight champion, will face Argentine Brian Castaño (17-0-1, 12 ko`s), WBO champion.

A historic fight where we will find out who is the best fighter at 154 pounds today.
Charlo is coming off an important eighth-round knockout win over Jeison Rosario in September of last year.

Castaño has just defeated Brazilian Patrick Teixeira by decision, in an excellent fight.

Charlo is doing a great training camp, because he wants to become an unified champion.

“I’m beyond excited for July 17. I have a lot of potentials and I’m doing everything I can to get better and better every day,” commented Jermell.

“I’m hungrier than ever because I know I’m about to become the undisputed champion and do something that no one has done before at 154 pounds.

“There is no one out there who is as fast, strong, and skilled as I am. Castaño owns nothing. that I haven’t seen before, and we’ll see if he can deal with my power. But there’s nothing that worries me.”
