Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. is pretty excited about a potential record-breaking fight between his son former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (50-2-1, 32 KOs) and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs). The negotiations are going on for a fight between the two Mexican stars on May 6 at a still determined location in the United States. The weight for the fight will be at catchweight of 165 pounds.
Chavez sees the Canelo vs. Chavez Jr. fight as one that will break attendance records. For that to happen, it will need to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. There aren’t any other larger venues than that for the fight to take place in the U.S. Read the rest of this entry »
