Effervescent former Mexican world champion Carlos ‘Príncipe’ Cuadras will be part of SUPERFLY 2 on February 24 at the Forum in Inglewood, California, where he will fight against Puerto Rican McWilliams Arroyo.
“Cheeky Chappie” Cuadras, accompanied by his new coach Abel Sanchez said: “I want to thank God for being here, and for all the support that my promoters have given me. I am very motivated for this fight.
“I’m at the side of a great coach, as part of the GGG team and they’re bringing out the very best of Carlos Cuadras. I know Arroyo from the amateurs and I`ve got his medicine all ready!
“The fights between Mexicans and Puerto Ricans are always great battles, so we’re going to steal the Show! As for you ‘Gallito,’ don`t lose because I`ve got unfinished business with you!” As he audaciously declared this, there were roars of laughter.
Abel Sanchez smiled and explained: “We are doing a great job. The plan was for Carlos to train with me for the fight with Estrada but we were not able to coordinate the agendas. However, here we are now ready for a big fight.”
The Puerto Rican Olympian said: “It is a great opportunity to present myself. I thank Cuadras for accepting the fight. I know it will be one of the best fights of the night, and there will be good matches.”
Top of the bill is WBC super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai who defends his Green and Gold belt against Francisco ‘Gallo’ Estrada.
