CHEERS AND CHIN-CHIN FOR GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS AND THE WBC

The Guinness World Records representative Carlos Martinez was present at the 54th World Boxing Council Convention, to honor some of the stars for their outstanding achievements in the world of boxing.

Former multiple champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. was one of the honorees and he was presented with not only one, but three records certificates: For the largest amount of undefeated bouts by a world champion boxer, Pay-Per-View’s highest sales, and for conquering the most expensive belt. The WBC Diamond belt, for a boxing championship which he won over Manny Pacquiao in 2015.

Other winners included Alicia Ashley, who extended her feat for being the world’s oldest boxing champion.

Gennady Golovkin became the champion with the highest percentage of knockouts for a middleweight champion.

Ukrainian boxing star Vitali Klitchko received the record for the most wins in championship fights along with his brother Wladimir.

Apart from recognizing stars inside the ring, GUINNESS WOLRD RECORDS also recognized achievers on the other side of the ropes. Panamanian journalist Juan Carlos Tapia received the honor for being the longest-running sports program presenter. The Best of Boxing Show, has been hosted by him since 1975…on the air for More than 42 years!

The representative of Guinness World Records mentioned that “The presence of Guinness World Records in the WBC Convention is already an established tradition.”
