Children`s Champion “Canelo”

Champion and Superstar Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez has supported the civil association Red Nose on various occasions, which is dedicated to helping children with cancer, and following a Twitter post about a shortage of medications for the treatment, “Canelo” immediately responded with a donation and autographed gloves, so they can be auctioned and raise yet more funds.

This Thursday, patients thanked the Mexican boxer for his contribution to the cause through a series of videos on social networks.
“Thank you, Canelo for pinching your nose. Thank you for supporting children and adults who are fighting the tough battle against cancer,” an appreciative youngster commented.

This is not the first charity work that Canelo joins. In May, he donated more than 900 medical kits to fight COVID-19 to the Civil Hospital of Guadalajara and in February he also made a donation to buy medications.
The WBC congratulates “Canelo” not only for being an exemplary champion but for having a big heart and supporting those who really need it most.
