Humberto “Chiquita” González and Daniel Zaragoza, two of the most iconic world champions in Mexican boxing, will face each other in an exhibition match on August 14, in order to promote the sport, motivate youth, and reach out to reactivate them economically.
All-time greats González (43-3, 30 Ko’s), 54, and Zaragoza (55-8-3, 28 Ko’s), 62, are members of the International Boxing Hall of Fame. La “Chiquita” was one of the finest of the smaller weight divisions in history and Zaragoza, who was the WBC bantamweight champion and super bantamweight, was one of the most exciting southpaws. Both are naturally left-handed. Humberto fights from a conventional stance.
On the very same card, young prospects will fight: Eduardo Rizo vs. Ulises Moguel, Ernesto Salcedo vs. Sergio Villalobos; Alberto Ruiz vs. José Calyecac; Óscar Bermúdez vs. José Márquez and Miguel Ramírez vs. Sergio Granados.
The bouts can be followed live on the social networks of Chiquita Boxing and the WBC.
