Chon Zepeda returns Saturday

World ranked lightweight Jose “Chon” Zepeda will be the main attraction of a very interesting Zanfer promotion on Saturday at the Municipal Gymnasium in Tecate, BC, Mexico. Zepeda (29-1, 24 KOs) will face Venezuelan Domicio Rondon (15-4, 10 KOs) in a ten-rounder. Trained by Robert Alcazar, Zepeda is looking for his seventh straight victory and is taking aim at an early 2019 title shot against Vasyl Lomachenko (WBA), Mickey Garcia (WBC and IBF) and Jose Pedraza (WBO). Zepeda’s only loss was a 2015 world title setback against Terry Flanagan.
