Chris Honeycutt vs. Leo Leite set for Bellator 202

A middleweight matchup has been added to next month’s Bellator 202 card.

Chris Honeycutt (10-2) and Leo Leite (10-1) will square off on the prelim portion of the card in Thackerville, Okla. MMA Fighting confirmed a Friday report by MMA Junkie.

The Fresno, Calif.-based Honeycutt has been with Bellator since 2014. In his most recent fight, he lost a decision to Rafael Lovato Jr. at Bellator 189. That ended Honeycutt’s four-fight winning streak.

Leite, meanwhile, is looking to shake off a decision loss to Phil Davis at Bellator 186, which was his first professional loss. The Rio de Janeiro native is a former Legacy FC middleweight champ.

Bellator 202 will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Julia Budd (11-2) and undefeated challenger Talita Nogueira (7-0).
