CHRISTINA HAMMER AND KALI REIS CLASH FOR HIGHLY ANTICIPATED MIDDLEWEIGHT UNIFICATION

WBC  By WBCnews

One of the biggest and best female fights that’s up there right now,  will happen this Saturday (November 5th) in Munich, Germany, when WBC World middleweight champion Kali Reis faces unbeaten champ Christina Hammer.

Hammer and Reis met before in May 2015 when the German successfully defended her title by unanimous decision. However, Reis showed that she can hurt her opponent, knocking Hammer down with a solid right hook in the tenth and final round.

After this fight, “KO” Kali Reis travelled to Auckland, New Zealand, in April 2016 to win the vacant WBC World Championship by split decision against Maricela Cornejo. Now the 30-year-old native American is looking to avenge the defeat against Hammer. “I will leave Germany a two-time World Champion”, said Reis after arriving in Munich. “I will keep my WBC title and take her belt home over the other shoulder.”

The 26-year-old Hammer who has won 19 of her 20 pro fights (with one no contest) every bit  as confident as her opponent, stating: “I know that Kali is strong but we both know that I am stronger. I have held my title for six years now and I will definitely keep it and add the WBC Championship to my collection. I had my eyes on the Green and Gold belt for a very long time and I am very happy that the unification is finally happening.”

The “Hammer and tongs”  show featuring Hammer vs. Reis along with the WBC Silver International Supermiddleweight Championship between Avni Yildirim and Schiller Hyppolite is promoted by Alexander Petkovic (Petko’s Box-Promotion) in association with Ahmet Oner (ARENA) and will be broadcasted live on Pay-Per-View on Sky Germany.
