Colby Covington rips Tyron Woodley for undergoing yet another surgery.
It was originally teased that Tyron Woodley would defend his welterweight title against Colby Covington at the upcoming UFC 230 PPV on Nov. 3, but the reigning champion is injured and will have to sit out for 8-12 weeks.
‘T-Wood’ dislocated his thumb earlier this month in his title defense against Darren Till, and UFC ‘bad guy’ Covington wasted no time in grilling the American Top Team fighter on social media.
Covington sent out a Tweet on Saturday calling Woodley a ‘brittle b-tch’, claiming that the current champ should be stripped of his ‘#1 contender spot.’
Covington himself backed out of his original fight with Woodley after claiming that he needed more time to recover from his interim championship win over Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225.
Despite the UFC’s plans to strip Covington of the title, ‘Chaos’ is still listed as the interim champ on the official UFC website.
Given that Woodley is out of action for the foreseeable future, don’t expect to see the 36-year-old defend his title against Covington until the first quarter of 2019 at the earliest.
