Panamanian fighter Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno has a tough one this Saturday, when he faces an eliminatory duel with former Mexican world champion Julio “Pollito” Ceja at the Amador Convention Center in Panama.
However, the former world champion hopes to use  his diverse experience, when he faces the Mexican knockout artist who has an 84% stoppage ratio and has already held the 122-pound world title.
“Chemito”, who’s the pride of San Miguelito in Panama, is a lefty fighter, and was initially known as  “The Phantom” due to his subtle defensive skills.
He’s defeated Mexican fighters Tomás “Gusano” Rojas, Ricardo Vargas, Cecilio Santos and David de la Mora, Abner Mares was the only Mexican who defeated Moreno.
The fighter who dominated the bantamweight division between 2008 and 2014 is well remembered for the 2 bouts with Japan’s Shinsuke Yamanaka, whom he had on the canvas, which speaks percussion volumes about the Panamanian who made his debut 15 years ago. He has faced the best fighters in the bantamweight and super bantamweight divisions, like Vic Darchinyan and Nehomar Cermeño.
In addition to being an eliminatory combat, the Silver title of the super bantamweight division will be on the line.
