On August 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, will compose an attractive card where champions Julio César ‘Rey’ Martínez and Cecilia Braekhus will be in action.
In a new chapter of Mexican-Puerto Rican boxing rivalry, World Boxing Council flyweight champion Julio Cesar ‘Rey’ Martinez will defend his crown against McWilliams Arroyo.
Martinez, 16-1 with 12 knockouts, will make the second defense of the championship he won in December against tough Nicaraguan Cristofer Rosales.
McWilliams, with a record of 20-4 and 15 knockouts, will have his third world title opportunity after falling Short with Amnat Ruenroeng and Román ‘Chocolatito’ González.
Norwegian Cecilia Braekhus will defend the Welterweight titles of the WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF against the American Jessica McCaskill, in which it is expected to be a thriller.
Braekhus (36-0, 9 knockouts) has dominated the welterweight division for 11 years and if she gets a win over McCaskill, she would break Joe Louis’ record of 25 consecutive world title defenses.
