The UFC isn’t messing around for its anniversary show.

Donald Cerrone vs. Mike Perry is targeted for UFC Denver on Nov. 10 in Colorado, MMA Fighting confirmed with sources. ESPN was the first to report the news via UFC president Dana White. Cerrone and Perry have been teammates at JacksonWink MMA since earlier this year, but evidently don’t mind throwing down.

The UFC is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the card. UFC 1 took place Nov. 12, 1993 in Denver.

Cerrone (33-11, 1 NC), a Colorado native, is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwardslast month at UFC Singapore. “Cowboy” has lost four of five. Cerrone, 35, remains one of the most popular and exciting fighters in the welterweight and lightweight divisions.

Perry (12-3) fought earlier this month against Paul Felder, winning by split decision at UFC 226. That victory snapped a two-fight losing streak for the Michigan native, who now trains in Albuquerque, N.M., at JacksonWink. Perry, 26, has won three of five and has emerged as a popular — yet polarizing — figure in the 170-pound weight class.

UFC Denver does not have an official main event announced yet, though ESPN reported Friday that White said Frankie Edgar vs. Chan Sung Jung will be the fight.
