World Boxing Council World Flyweight Champion, Cristofer “El Latigo” Rosales from Nicaragua, convincingly defended his crown for the first time by whipping the two-time Northern Irish Olympic medalist, Paddy Barnes, in the fourth round at Windsor Park, Belfast.
A wicked right hook to Paddy`s body at the end of the fourth left him gasping and writhing on the canvas for the full count. Stoppage time was 3:00. Barnes who was fighting for the world championship in just his sixth professional fight, was out of his depth.
This was Cristofer’s premiere title defense of the Green and Gold crown that he won in his previous fight, stopping KO artist and then champion Daigo Higa.
