Cris Cyborg called out Holly Holm moments after winning the UFC featherweight belt at UFC 214. Now, she has a date in mind for the potential clash.
The Brazilian star finished Tonya Evinger in Anaheim, Calif., on July 29, to claim the vacant 145-pound championship, and is targeting a return on Las Vegas’ UFC 219 card on Dec. 30.
“#CyborgNation I just called my manager @primetime360esm and told him I want to fight @hollyholm #UFC219in LAS VEGAS #CyborgVHolm if you want to see this fight New Years now is the time to send your messages to the @ufc@danawhite”
On the Portuguese portion of the post, Cyborg calls Holm “Ronda killer”, in a reference to “The Preacher’s Daughter’s” epic knockout win over Ronda Rousey in 2015.
Holm lost three in a row since that win, but recently bounced back with a head kick knockout over Bethe Correia. Cyborg hasn’t lost in 19 bouts, including 16 knockouts.
