And Cris is pledging that after several defences, to go up a weight category, taking on WBC super flyweight Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, who KO’d his cousin Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez.
“Today is a very special day for me, I am crystallizing a dream. I knew that Daigo was a dangerous opponent, I was always sure that I would be victorious right from the start.
” He was the most fearsome champion and therefore represented a challenge for me, I had to counterattack, I felt very well, I said at the press conference, I would be the new world champion and I fulfilled it.
” I dreamed of being part of the WBC family and today I am here as a true champion of the most prestigious boxing body. ” -he commented-
