Mirko Filipovic is annoyed by some recent comments by his next opponent. Last week, Roy Nelson mentioned that the man known as Cro Cop might still be on “special supplements”, and a lack of drug testing in Bellator means that he could use them before the two men meet on May 15th. But that he’d take the fight anyway.
Cro Cop, who was sanctioned by USADA in 2015 for HGH use (which he says he admitted to due it being administered by a doctor to treat an injury), took to Facebook to respond to Big Country:
“Dear Roy Nelson, you dont have to worry that i’m using any ‘special supplements’ as you claim. the only ‘special supplements’ i’m using is 2 hard and bloody trainings per day, five days a week. and i will be tested, like all others, during preparations for the fight and before and right after the fight. so you can be calm. and start thinking of some good excuse after i beat up your fat disrespectful ass, you have enough time to may 25. and do me a favour please, and shave that disgusting beard, look like professional fighter and show respect to your opponent. good luck!”
Shots fired. Cro Cop (36-11-2, 1 NC) will be making his Bellator debut for the fight, has won eight fights in a row. Nelson (23-15) is coming off a loss to Matt Mitrione in the first round of Bellator’s heavyweight grand prix last month. The two men will meet at Bellator 200 in London
