CROATIA CELEBRATES THE LIVES OF JOSÉ SULAIMÁN AND MUHAMMAD ALI

This Saturday, the Crystal Salon of the Westin Hotel in Zagreb,  will host a very special event in which Jose Sulaiman and Muhammad Ali will be remembered with a tribute,  as part of celebrations to honor  100 years of Islam in Croatia.

A sports / humanitarian event with the participation of 20 athletes from more than 15 countries plus the performance of the renowned Croatian fighter Luka Pupek. Combined, this will provide a memorable grandstand.

Luka will have a tough fight against an experienced Frenchman Jean Michel Hamilcaro, with the WBC Mediterranean title at stake.

Houcine Houichi, Vice-President of the WBC and President of the African Boxing Union, commented: “This is the first time an event like this has been held. So we are very excited because  we will not only remember two great figures of our sport, my dear Jose Sulaiman and boxing King Muhammad Ali, but we will also witness  the emergence  of new stars.”

Luka Pupek, said that this is his moment and he will not let go of the chance to win the WBC Mediterranean title. He recognizes and respects  the quality of his opponent, but he’s pledged that the championship will remain in Croatia.
