Via tele conference, chirpy former WBC super flyweight world champion Carlos Cuadras, confidently stressed he’s already working hard in Los Angeles, preparing to fight ex champion Francisco Estrada, this September.
Motivated and eager to return to the big time. But especially and specifically to regain the world title that he lost against Román “Chocolatito” González, Cuadras guaranteed that this upcoming fight will be simply the best, especially as “Gallo” will be a demanding rival, ensuring the maximum application from his skills set box.
Cuadras was emphatic, saying he’s a boxer capable of handling various styles and thereby able to change and dictate the course of a given fight. He promised : “To give the medicine to Estrada” and to finish the fight before the prescribed limit.
Francisco Estrada, who also linked up by telephone, acknowledged the quality of Cuadras. But he said that the Nicaraguan Román González is a better fighter, because he has many more resources and a better overall technique.
Motivated to be back, Estrada said he is fully recovered from his right hand injury that he suffered last year.
Francisco plans to win a decisive victory not only to become the interim champion of the most important body, but also to win the opportunity to fight the winner of Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs. Román González. They’ll meet again in an anticipated rematch bout on September 9.
