Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz, who’s World Boxing Council super bantamweight world champion, says he’s up to scratch and itching to defend his belt on September 16 in Japan against the local idol, Hozumi Hasegawa.
Ruiz is confident in and satisfied with his preparation supervised by Rafael Guzman and he is totally sure of successfully defending his belt.
“Cuatito” has won 32 of his 36 fights by KO, shaping an extraordinary KO ratio of 89%.
“Hasegawa is a great fighter and an interesting southpaw. Fortunately professor Guzman knows him well and he is planning the smart strategy to defeat him. I am working with two top sparring partners, Arturo “Rey” Santos, who has fought him, and Jorge “Pilón” Lara, who is ranked up in the first places of the division.so I am arriving in a great shape for the fight.”
