The fight between 140-pound prospect Maxim Dadashev and veteran Antonio DeMarco has been postponed from September 14 until October 20, with Dadashev suffering a biceps tear during training.
Dadashev (11-0, 10 KO) and DeMarco (33-6-1, 24 KO) will now meet on the Ryota Murata-Rob Brant card in Las Vegas, with that show airing on ESPN+. The 27-year-old Dadashev is a rising potential star in the junior welterweight division, while DeMarco, 32, proved last October that he’s not quite out of the race yet, knocking out previously-unbeaten Eddie Ramirez in the first round.
As for the September 14 ESPN card, which is headlined by Jose Ramirez taking on Antonio Orozco, a fight from the card has been bumped up. Jamel Herring (17-2, 10 KO) will meet John Vincent Moralde (20-1, 10 KO) in the new TV co-feature. Herring, 32, is 2-2 in his last four bouts, and is moving down from 135 to 130. Moralde, 24, is a Filipino who was stopped by Toka Kahn Clary two fights ago.
