FORMER World Boxing Association Asia flyweight champion Alphoe “The Bull” Dagayloan of Dipolog City will fight Bienvenido “Sniper Ben Fairtex” Ligas of Caloocan City for the vacant Philippine flyweight title on Feb. 13 at the 2nd Floor, Mega Mart Burgos Poblacion Norte in Paniqui, Tarlac.
The 29-year-old southpaw Dagayloan (14W-3L-6D, 5KOs) settled a majority draw with Carlo Caesar Penalosa of Gingoog City for the vacant Philippine flyweight title last Feb. 1, 2020, in Paranaque City.
Dagayloan earlier won the vacant WBO Asia flyweight title by a split decision over Danrick Sumabong last Jan. 26, 2019, at Strike Gym in Bacoor, He retained his WBO Asia title by a unanimous decision over Esneth Domingo last April 13 at Quibors Boxing Gym in Bacoor.
Ligas (12W-1L-1D, 9KOs), on the other hand, won the vacant Luzon Professional Boxing Association (LuzProBA) super flyweight title by knocking out Joan Imperial last Feb. 7, 2020, in Sto. Domingo.
He earlier also won the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation super flyweight title by beating JC Francisco via a unanimous decision last June 15, 2019, in Las Pinas.
The bubble boxing event is promoted by Cucuy Elorde of UKC Pro Boxing Edition with Edmundo Dellosa as the matchmaker.
