Daishi draws Akihiro in first title defense

Southpaw Daishi Nagata settled for a technical draw with orthodox Akihiro Kondo in his first defense of the Japanese super lightweight title last Dec. 10 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

The 30-year old Daishi was injured with a nasty left cut on the eye.

Daishi earlier won a TKO in the 7th round over Koki Inoue to grab the Japanese super lightweight title last July 16, 2020, at Korakuen Hall.

Daishi now has two draws with 15 wins and two knockouts while 35-year old Akihiro has two draws with 32 wins and nine losses.

It was promoted by Takashi Misako of Misako Promotions.
