Damir Hadzovic will look to bank consecutive wins under the UFC banner for the first time when he faces TUF: Latin America alum Marco Polo Reyes in Prague on Feb. 23.
UFC announced the lightweight clash via its social media channels Thursday.
Hadzovic (12-4-0) is coming off his split-decision win over German fan favorite Nick Hein at UFC Hamburg in July. After taking a first round loss in his UFC debut to surging Russian Mairbek Taisumov, Hadzovic jumped back into the win column with a third round stoppage of Polish submission specialist, Marcin Held.
In his last outing before he edged out Hein, “The Bosnian Bomber” lost a unanimous decision to Alan Patrick at UFC Belem. Hadzovic is 2-2 under the UFC banner since his signing in 2016.
Polo Reyes (8-4-0) returned to winning ways in his last outing with a first-round knockout victory over previously undefeated Matt Frevola, who earned his full debut following a victory on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. After his semi-final exit on TUF, took consecutive wins over Cesar Arzamendia, Dong Hyun Ma and Jason Novelli.
“El Toro” has only taste defeat once in the Octagon when he was stopped in the first round of his meeting with towering lightweight James Vick. He has compiled a record of 4-1 since making his UFC debut in 2015.
