Former world champion Daniel Zaragoza says the meeting of minds backed up by fists, between Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez and Julio César Chávez Jr, is providing a red letter day plus a special delivery to the “Malebox.”
“It is a clash between the most controversial fighters in the history of national boxing. A long awaited fight that will generate tremendous interest,” said Zaragoza, in an interview with Notimex. And… the former WBC bantamweight champion and super bantamweight WBC champions assured these two are well matched.
“They are the most controversial fighters in Mexican history, but they have shown over time, time and time again, just why they are where they are today. I think it`ll be a sellout of tickets, so they have the right to enjoy the purses they earn. ”
Questioned who will be most benefited by the weight issue, Zaragoza actually favoured “Junior”, although only if he really works for it.
“Both can make the weight. Chavez is very tall for that weight, but with proper and meticulous preparation he will retain strength. They`re risking their pride. Either can win, but for his charisma and because I`m a friend of his father, I`m definitely picking JC Junior.
