The UFC’s upcoming trip to London is one bout closer to completion.
Officials announced Wednesday that Scotland’s Danny Henry will take on debuting Canadian Hakeem Dawodu in a featherweight bout at UFC London on March 17 at the O2 Arena.
The bout was first reported by Danny Austin of the Calgary Sun, who also noted that Dawodu will be training at SBG Ireland in preparation for his first walk to the Octagon.
Hailing from Edinburgh, Henry will bring an 11-2 record and a four-fight win streak into the cage when he meets Dawodu. Henry knocked off Daniel Teymur by unanimous decision at UFC Glasgow last July in a bout that earned both men a Fight of the Night bonus and Henry a victory in his UFC debut.
Dawodu, 26, has spent the majority if his career fighting out of Calgary, Alberta. He is undefeated in eight pro bouts with seven wins and one draw, with all of his fights taking place under the World Series of Fighting banner. He defeated 12-year veteran Steven Siler by unanimous decision last March.
