CURRENT Luzproba minimumweight champion Lito “Naruto” Dante of the Philippines will fight former IBF Youth light flyweight champion Takumi Sakae of Japan on July 10 at the Kyushu Kyoritsu University in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka.
Dante of Sierra Bullones, Bohol has a record of 11 wins with 6 knockouts, 6 loses and 3 draws while Sakae is toting 13 wins with 8 KOs and only 1 loss and no draw.
Dante won the Luzon Professional Boxing Association (Luzproba) via unanimous decision win against Lester Abutan last December 12, 2015 in Mandaluyong City.
But he bowed to Vic Saludar by a UD in their WBO Asia Pacific minimumweight title-fight held April 2 at the Oval Plaza Gym in General Santos City.
The 26-year old Dante also dropped a UD to South African Siyabonga Siyo for the vacant WBA International minimumweight title last August 14, 2015 at the Orient Theatre in East London, Eastern Cape.
The 22-year old Sakae, on the other hand, previously lost by a UD to Tatsuya Fukuhara in their battle for the Japanese minimumweight crown last March 26 in Kumamoto.
