Darren Till vs. Bojan Velickovic, Mairbek Taisumov vs. Felipe Silva confirmed for UFC Fight Night 115

Unbeaten British welterweight Darren Till will contest the first bout of his new five-fight dealwhen he takes on Bojan Velickovic in Rotterdam on Sept 2 at the Ahoy Rotterdam at UFC Fight Night 115.

Also confirmed for action on the night, Russian lightweight Mairbek Taisumov will look to add to his four-fight winning streak when he takes on unbeaten Brazilian Felipe Silva.

UFC confirmed both fights on Friday morning.

After being on the sidelines for nearly 18 months since his draw with Nicolas Dalby, Till returned to action in May with a one-sided decision win over Jessin Ayari.

The Liverpool native was living in Brazil when he began his tenure with UFC but moved back home as he recovered from the shoulder injury that initially forced him to the sidelines.

Till has since returned to Team Kaobon and believes that he will have announced himself in the welterweight title picture by the time he signs his next deal with the UFC.

Velickovic contested his last outing on the same card that saw Till return to the Octagon, taking a win over hometown favorite Niko Musoke in Stockholm.

The former RFA champ has gone 2-1-1 with the UFC so far, drawing with Michael Graves and losing out to Sultan Aliev by split decision. He took a decision win in his debut against Alessio Di Chirico back in April 2016 in a middleweight bout.

With both men having backgrounds in professional Muay Thai, this could play well for the fans in the Netherlands, a country famous for its striking proponents.

Taisumov has enjoyed a stellar start to life in the UFC, going 5-1 in his first six tests under the banner. The Russian has had some momentum taken away from him as he has been on the sidelines since April 2016. He was forced to pull out of his scheduled meeting with Joaquim Silva in May due to a knee injury.

Felipe Silva scored a devastating knockout win over Shane Campbell in his UFC debut in August of last year. The 32-year-old won plaudits for ability in the clinch and his forward pressing style. The Brazilian remain unbeaten in eight professional outings.
