De Leon KOs Silva, remains unbeaten

Unbeaten Detroit super featherweight Erik De Leon (14-0, 8 KOs) scored an impressive third round KO over Brazil’s Aldimar Silva (19-11, 12 KOs) on Friday night at the Laredo Energy Center in Laredo, Texas. De Leon dropped Silva twice in round two and got the stoppage after another knockdown early in round three. Time was 1:00.

Unbeaten Brazilian Olympian middleweight “Pantera” Esquiva Falcao (15-0, 12 KOs) was victorious when Gerardo Ibarra (14-4, 8 KOs) of Houston didn’t come out for round seven.

Unbeaten welterweight Arturo Marquez (5-0, 3 KOs) outpointed Stephen Bass (1-4, 0 KOs) over four rounds by scores of 39-37, 39-37, 40-36.

Unbeaten super featherweight Jesse Garcia (5-0, 4 KOs) went the distance for the first time in taking a four round shutout against Gabriel Gutierrez (4-4, 3 KOs). Garcia scored a knockdown in round four en route to a 40-35 win.
