The UFC has matched up two unbeaten flyweights in Brazil.
Deiveson Figueiredo and Jarred Brooks are set to meet inside the Octagon at the UFC Fight Night 119 card in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Oct. 28. Both fighters announced the fight on social media following a report by Combate.
Figueiredo (12-0) impressed in his UFC debut last June, stopping Marco Antonio Beltran via TKO between the second and third rounds in Rio de Janeiro. “God of War” only went the distance once in his MMA career.
Brooks (13-0) has also finished the majority of his opponents in both professional and amateur MMA bouts prior to his Octagon debut, when he defeated Eric Shelton via split decision at UFC 214.
The Fight Night card takes place at the Ibirapuera gymnasium, and currently includes Glover Teixeira vs. Misha Cirkunov, Christian Colombo vs. Carlos Felipe, Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Jack Marshman, and Boston Salmon vs. Augusto Mendes.
