Deiveson Figueiredo is the first Belem native booked to compete at UFC Belem, as he takes onJoseph Morales in a flyweight bout on Feb. 3. Both fighters confirmed the match-up on social media following a report by Combate.
The UFC Fight Night 125 card marks the company’s first trip to the North arena of Brazil, and takes place at Belem’s Mangueirinho gymnasium.
Figueiredo (13-0) recently scored a close split decision victory over Jarred Brooks at UFC Sao Paulo, improving to 2-0 under the UFC banner following his TKO win over Marco Antonio Beltran in June.
Morales (9-0) defeated Roberto Sanchez in his Octagon debut at UFC Mexico City in August, winning via first-round submission. The Team Alpha Male flyweight only went the distance twice in eight fights before joining the UFC.
