Derrick Lewis might or might not become the next UFC heavyweight champion. But win or lose, he could very well be the pound-for-pound champion of social media.

In case you forgot, “The Black Beast” put out what he dubbed his “official promo” for his newly announced UFC 230 heavyweight title fight against Daniel Cormier on Tuesday.

Lewis and Cormier already bring a tongue-in-cheek “beef” into the main event of the Nov. 3 bout at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Two years ago, Cormier noted at a press conference promoting UFC 200 that Lewis threatened to knock Cormier out backstage before the event. Lewis’ reasons for issuing those words? Well, check out the his Instagram post below to get your answer:

Lewis (21-5, 1 NC) is coming off a sensational last-second knockout of Alexander Volkov at UFC 229 last weekend. That put him at 9-1 in his past 10 official fights and gave him his 10th knockout in the UFC, which is tied with Cain Velasquez for most in company history. Cormier (21-1, 1 NC), the UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champ, will compete for the first time since knocking out Stipe Miocic to win the 265-pound belt at UFC 226.
