DIEGO DE LA HOYA DEFENDS WBC YOUTH TITLE IN ARGENTINA

Diego de la Hoya will fight for the first time outside of the United States, down Argentina way, against local  Alán Lúques in Villa Mercedes, San Luis this Saturday July 1^st.

The World Boxing Council youth super bantamweight champion will put on the line his belt at the La Pedrera Complex. A contest  where Oscar de la Hoya’s unbeaten cousin, 18-0, nine KOs, will be matched against Alan who’s record is creditable.  (21- 6, 9 KO’s).

After Defeating  Erik Ruiz in  May, in his second fight of the year, Diego is  excited to now be competing  in the South American country. And grateful for the support he has received in his career, “I can not wait to offer a great show “.

Oscar de la Hoya, who attend this card accompanied by the former world champion, Lucas Matthysse, stressed  that Diego will return home with a win.

“It takes hunger and passion for boxing to get motivated. And all that with the intention to prove he is a boxer you don’t want to mess with”. Diego will return home with a victory and the Argentine fans will be impressed by his Mexican speed and power,” Oscar’s predicting.

Luques is happy with the opportunity to confront  rising star young De La Hoya, promising he’s primed to  fight.
