Giant 6’7 heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko (38-2, 24 KOs) has arrived in New Zealand for a press conference and said that he is confident of defeating IBF #1 Joseph Parker (20-0, 17 KOs) and that he will have all the pressure on him for their October 1st bout when they clash over twelve rounds at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau, New Zealand.
“I’m looking forward to winning this fight,” said Dimitrenko. “I’m confident I can win. I’m not a slow heavyweight – I’m fast. I’ve stopped good heavyweights such as Timo Hoffman and Albert Sosnowski. Hoffman went the distance with Vitali Klitschko. Parker has a lot of pressure on him to win this fight. I have no pressure on me. Duco promotions made me the offer a few months ago and I said yes because I am confident of winning.”
The Russia-born and Germany-based Dimitrenko is coming off a eight round points win in January over Drazan Janjanin with the only losses on his record being to Kubrat Pulev and Eddie Chambers.
