FORMER world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire of the Philippines will challenge reigning World Boxing Council world bantamweight champion Nordine Oubaali of France on Dec. 12 at the Mohegan Sub Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
The mandatory challenge will be promoted by Tom Brown of TGB Promotions in coordination with USA Showtime.
The 37-year old Donaire (40W-6L-0D, 26KO) recently lost to undefeated Naoya “Monster” Inoue of Japan by a unanimous decision for the WBA super bantamweight and IBF world bantamweight title last Nov. 7 in Saitama, Japan
The orthodox fighter has been in constant training both for a rematch with Inoue or a fight with Oubaali.
Meanwhile, the 34-year old undefeated Oubaali recently beat Takuma Inoue of Japan to retain his WBC world bantamweight title on the same card last Nov. 7 in Saitama.
