This Sunday, four-time world champion Roman “Chocolatito” González will be traveling from Tokyo, Japan, to Los Angeles, California, for his important rematch bout against WBC super flyweight champion, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.
This fight of González vs. Rungvisai heads a super-card with the world’s best super flyweights and it will be Televised by HBO in “Boxing After Dark” beginning at 10:15 p.m. (East / Pacific) at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, United States. K2 Promotions will be in charge of presenting this important boxing event, which promises to make history.
Román will travel to the United States with his manager Carlos Blandón and with representatives of the company Teiken Promotions. There, they will be waiting for coach Sendai Tanaka, who just last Saturday led Yoshihiro Kamegai in his fight against Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.
Tanaka, along with a Japanese fitness trainer, will be in charge of the “Chocolatito” corner in this important rematch with Rungvisai. Roman lost the WBC belt in March.
“Chocolatito” will reach this fight with a record of 46-1, 38 KOs. Rungvisai will do it with a mark of 43-4-1, 39 knockouts.
