World Boxing Council minimumweight World Champion, Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand, successful retained his title for the eighth time defeating Japanese contender Tatsuya Fukuhara via a 12-round unanimous decision on Saturday, in the main event of a card that was organized in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
With this victory, Meenayothin improves his record to 49-0, with 17 knockouts. He`s now drawn level with the unbeaten record of Rocky Marciano, and with one more win, he`ll equal Floyd Mayweather Jr`s tally.
Menayothin has built a distinguished career to become the pride of the WBC. He won the minimumweight youth world title in March 2007, successfully defending It 8 times. He then won the WBC international title in December 2009, defending it on 12 occasions, subsequently, he conquered the world crown, going from strength to strength!
