Welterweight prospect Eimantas Stanionis has injured his hand ahead of his planned appearance on the May 25th Austin Trout-Terrell Gausha PBC on FS1 main card. Former light heavyweight prospect prospect Ahmed Elbiali, whose fight with Marlos Simões was originally scheduled for the Prelims, has been bumped up as a result.
This will be Elbiali’s (18-1, 15 KO) second fight in two weeks, as he’s booked against Jaime Solorio this upcoming Saturday in Fairfax.
The Fox Sports 2 Prelim lineup now features Puerto Rican Olympian Oscar Negron (20-2, 16 KO) vs. former Luis Ortiz victim Daniel Martz (18-6-1, 15 KO) in the headlining fight, plus unbeaten Nigerian cruiserweight Efe Apochi (7-0, 7 KO) against Earl Newman (10-1-1, 7 KO) and Amon Rashidi (6-0, 4 KO) in what’s called a “four[-] or six-round welterweight attraction.”
In addition to Elbiali-Simoes (13-1-2, 5 KO), the main card includes Connecticut prospect Chordale Booker (14-0, 7 KO) against veteran Wale Omotoso (27-3, 21 KO).
