Welterweight Joseph Elegele (16-2, 11 KOs) scored a hard fought ten round unanimous decision over Phil Lo Greco (27-2, 15 KOs) on Sunday night at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Florida. It was an entertaining war of attrition with both fighters landing and absorbing big shots. In Lo Greco’s best round, he staggered Elegele and teed off in a brutal assault that Elegele withstood. Elegele’s best moment was in round six when he battered Lo Greco all over the ring. Elegele rocked Lo Greco in the final round to pull out a 97-95, 96-94, 96-94 victory.
Light heavyweight Craig Baker (17-1, 13 KOs) scored a spectacular eighth round KO over previously unbeaten Australian prospect Steve Lovett (15-1, 12 KOs). Lovett dropped Baker with a left hook in round four. However, Baker rebounded and hurt Lovett in round eight, knocking him out with a furious barrage of punches. Time was 2:57.
Undefeated middleweight Dauren Yeleussinov (5-0-1, 4 KOs) and Devaun Lee (7-2-1, 3 KOs) battled to an eight round draw. Scores were 79-73 Yeleussinov, 78-74 Lee, and 76-76.
