A big stepping stone test on Saturday for Kenya Enríquez Vs Jessica Nery Plata, with both absolutely determined to pave their way and be en route to the next level.
Kenia “Jaguarcita” Enríquez (19-1-0, 9 ko’s) is defending her interim WBC light flyweight championship, against Jessica Nery Plata (21-1-0, 3 ko’s), in an event promoted by Zanfer in co-promotion with ARA Promotions, in the Multiple Use Center of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora. It’ll be broadcast to Mexico by TV AZTECA.
Enríquez was already world champion, and although she holds the interim world title, her intention is to be an absolute ruler once again, measuring her talents against the champion Esmeralda Moreno.
For this, she has to defeat Jessica Nery Plata, a talented 23-year-old fighter, who’s trained by legendary Hall of Fame Coach Don Ignacio Beristain. The only defeat on Jessica’s record, was against champion Esmeralda Moreno, and Jessica definitely wants a rematch!
The World Boxing Council has announced the ring officials. The Referee is Christian Curiel, while the Judges are Leobardo Ibarra, Sergio Lechuca, and the Nicaraguan Jacinto Obregón. The Supervisor for the WBC will be Juan Carlos Pelayo.
